Spenc and I loved our skateboarding date on the Monon Trail through Carmel so much, we decided it was time to take the kids. For the first time as a family, we rode bikes on the Monon. I've been wanting to take them here for this since we first moved here. But now they're finally all big enough to do it... well, mostly big enough. :) Charlie didn't want to ride and just wanted to chill in the bike trailer while i pulled him. Daddy rode his skateboard and the other 3 rode their bikes. Josie has gotten really good and riding her bike, but only recently became better practiced at braking on time. Turns out, she needed some more practice. Dad chose his skateboard so he could stay close to Josie and help her when she needed it. At one point as we rode into down town Carmel, it was more crowded near the shops and restaurants. A lady ahead of Josie on the trail, pulled to a stop to take a photo, and Jo couldn't brake in time: she crashed right into her! :( Everyone was ok, but Daddy suggested she ride in the trailer for a little while. He rode his skateboard AND carried her bike in one hand!! He's a MAN! ;) ha ha! He always comes to the rescue.
Afterwards we headed over to meet up with friends. The Dodge Family, invited us to go to Defy, and new trampoline park in Castleton. It was so awesome! Hands down the best one we've been too. Mostly, cuz they had a cool trapeze! Watching the kids sail into the air made me catch my breath, then seeing how brave they were and how soft they landed put me at ease. At first, Daddy helped the littles get the trapeze bar by holding the bar in one hand and lifting them up with his other hand. But after the first times, Jo & Chuck both just jumped for the bar while daddy held it... totally no fear!! It was so cool to see how quickly their confidence can grow. I love moments like these.
So grateful for my friend JooHee for inviting us and making these memories happen.
It goes without saying, that the kids all crashed hard at bedtime! :)
