The Kunz came over the other day and played in the lake off the dock. My kids love the Kunz girls, Kiera & Helaina, and had a blast thrashing around in the water, the raft, and the kayaks. I loved laying on the dock with Suzane, soaking in the sun and chatting.
Our friends the Thompsons invited us to swim at their neighborhood pool. Miss Becky always brings the party and had cool blow up pool toys! The kids loved playing with them and with her and her kids: Margaret & Callum. They especially loved the diving board. Although, when poor Charlie tried to get tricky and jump off backwards, the back of his legs scraped the board as he fell into the water. His calves were bleeding but he was so tough about it. Then, Perry cut his finger on the trash can and it was bleeding pretty good, too. We used a lot of the lifeguard's band-aids. Glad they were there!
Swimming, playing, lighting sparklers, carving a bow, and just being kids living their best lives! These easy Summer days are why I love summertime!
