Charlie’s 5th Birthday

Charlie had an awesome day feeling loved and special as he turned 5. (Our baby is 5! 😩) He was pumped to get a chocolate bar in Primary at church. All day he was singing/humming the birthday song. All day he was melting my heart. All day I held back the tears. He had one-on-one time snuggling & talking with daddy before bed. As we tucked Charlie in for the night and listened to his sweet grateful prayer, I heard a sniffle and i looked over to see a watery eyed daddy... then I lost it and my tears joined his! It’s so hard watching babies turn into kids and kids to teens. It’s a beautiful/terrifying/exhausting/joyful journey. But it goes by too fast. We both would do all the sleepless nights, poopy diapers, potty training, training wheels... and everything else we’ve done the last 12 years... all over again. We love our life with these kids and Charlie is the perfect caboose. He is kind, loves to help, loves to share, and just brings joy to us in all the special ways he makes us smile.
We love you, Charlito! Thank you for being the amazing boy you are.❤️
