Growing up with Charlie

The last few months, Charlie has taken interest in spelling and reading. He’s coming a long well little at a time. We started Dick and Jane this week, letting him read it to me, just like his brothers and sister did. He did so well reading it and I praised him profusely! 

This morning on the way to soccer, he randomly said to me and daddy, “Mommy, I’m so proud of myself for learning to read!” I’m so happy I can help my child build confidence and self esteem.

Before the game began, the coaches handed out a surprise to each player and had the boys run to their mommies. Charlie came running at me with long stem carnation! He hugged me, said Happy Mother’s Day then ran off to play in his game (still wearing his penguin hat). My heart swelled.
