In prepping my primary and our family lessons from the new Come Follow Me manuals, i read the lesson “We are responsible for our own learning”. It caused me to ask myself how I can improve my own Gospel study.
Even though we have a subscription to all 3 church magazines, I haven’t read the Ensign in a looong while. Like it’s embarrassing how long it’s been. So I sat down in the family room during afternoon quiet time with an Ensign. One by one the kids came in the room and joined me. I looked up to see Kaden reading the New Era and Perry & Jo grabbed the Friend magazines. This was a reminder that a parent’s influence and example can be for good or bad. I’m aware not all of my example has been good, but I know as I make changes for my own growth, it will bless my family too.
Charlie didn’t join in... he was busy doing his own flavor of good: protecting the world!
