13 years of Us!! 💋

Today we’ve been married for 13 incredible years!! We celebrated yesterday with lunch at Nada. It was such a cool Mexican restaurant (even the bathroom was cool)! The waitress was awesome and gave us a surprise dessert: fresh churritos and a sweet note. 👍 

This morning I woke at 7:30am to Perry’s face only 3inches from my face saying “Mommy! I made you breakfast!” 😆😍 He made us toast with jam, cereal (milk on the side), and a candy cane. 😁 He also made us a coupon book. It was the sweetest!! Thanks Piero my love! Spencer said he could hear him stomping around down the stairs at 6:45. That boy loves sleep, so it was a sacrifice for him to get up so early.  When Kaden came in to join us, both boys warmed their hands and gave me a foot massage. Such kindness! 💕

We had only one hour church since the new ward is being organized and teachers still being called. Spenc is the new executive secretary to Bishop Fiddler and since the 2 counselors were out of town, he had to sit with the Bishop on the stand and run the mic stand. I was surprised to see him sitting up there when we got to church, since exec secretaries don’t usually sit on the stand. The kids and I kept smiling and winking at him and he couldn’t help smiling too, so Spenc had to keep looking away😄

I was thinking about how amazing these 13 years have been. We talked about it and don’t feel like marriage has been hard. Parenthood, yes absolutely! But not really marriage. We’ve had trials and challenges of course, but those only made us stronger and closer. The first year was emotional and a lot of learning in a short period of time. But after surviving the adjustments of the first year of marriage, the rest has just made us fall more in love. We look back at the newly wed us and laugh, “We were so in love then, but had no idea how much more love we’d be in.” And each year, each day really, that love keeps growing! Deeper and more selfless with every prayer, kiss, cuddle, “Let me help you... I’m sorry... I forgive you.. I’m here for you... I love you” and more. Marriage is amazing!

I love this man more than life itself. He is my best friend, my love, and my eternity. Happy 13th Spenc 💋
