Kings Island
was a great experience for our whole family. We got to ride lots of cool rides,
much more intense than the Disney world rides. We even increased our bravery a lot. The sad
thing was that we didn’t have our phones (because there was a big chance it
could get lost or stolen), or a camera, so we couldn’t take pictures. :(
We started
out at Soak City. The first ride we did was the
Rendezvous Run. It was a four way water slide that plunges
you into darkness, turns 360 degrees, then went into a
drop, and the ride slowed you down, and then you stopped. It was really cool
for a water slide. Much more impressive than the ones at the monon center (a nearby waterpark).
The next ride we did
was called the Pineapple Pipeline. There were three slides: a green slide that
bacically just drops you; an orange slide that was a really steep twist; and a
yellow one like the orange, but less steep. They all were really fast, and you
weree in freefall. A cool thing about the slides is that it kind of has designs
inside the slide
Then we did a ride
that was two slides twisting around each other, and it was like they were
revolving around each other. When you entered the slide, it is a big drop, a
gentle slow, a big drop… and it goes like that for about 4 times before it ends
There were little wristbands we could use to
get free drinks at these coca cola stations all over kings island. The kids
were constantly asking to get drinks and thought it was really cool. :)
There were some other
other cool slides we did, but none of us can remember what they were called.
There was a big slide that was really wide, which Perry, Kaden and Daddy went
on. The most impressive one was this huge slide that the way you started was
there is a trapdoor that falls, and you are in freefall for a few seconds, and
then the slide catches you, and then you slide really fast in these twists and
turns.
The cool thing about
the slide was that the slide was transparent, so you could see a lot of the
park while speeding really fast down a tube.
There was also a wave
pool (two actually, a kiddie one and an older kids one)that the kids all played
in for about 20 or so mnutes. After a while everyone was cold, and we decided
to take the train to the other side.
When we arrived at
kings island we started out in Planet Snoopy.
The first ride we did was called the Viking Feiry(which wasn’t part of
the theme in the park), which was a boat that rocked really high in the air.
Mommy and charlie both felt sick after the ride.
After the viking
feiry(and two sick stomachs) we rode a ride callled the Woodstock. It was a
short ride, a little longer than the barnstormer, and more intense. It started
out really high, and then you dropped
pretty fast and it was rickety.
Charlie loved it! Mommy did not.
We then rode a ride
similar to the buzz lightyear ride in disney world, and it was called “boo
blasters”. The ride was about these ghosts who are making these evil potions
that you shoot with these laser pointers
that you shoot targets with.
Kaden, Daddy,
and Perry went on a ride alled adventure
express. It was another wooden rollercoaster thar went really fast, and it was really rickety. It was fun though.
Most of the other
rides in Planet Snoopy were for little kids. There was a dog show that Mommy, Perry, Josie and
Charlie watched while Kaden and Daddy rode the most intense rollercoaster in
the park: the Banshee. The line was super short when we arrived there, so that
was a bonus. When you get in the seats you are in one of those hanging
rollercoasters, and how the ride starts is you go up really high, about a
couple thousand feet in the air, the you drop and spin, then go into a loop,
then another one and another one, and then it speeds you up side down while
going straight, and then it ended. Since the line was so short, we could do it
again, and we did.
Then daddy and kaden
rode drop tower. It was exactly as the name says. It was a tower that drops
you. It
takes you up at least 3000 feet, then it drops you you are in freefall
for about 10 seconds. It was scary. After that we did the delurium.
It was similar to
drop tower, but it was a spinning swing that went really high. You were in
freefall there too.
Then Perry, Kaden and
mommy rode the Bat. It was not as in tense as the banshee, but it was still the
hanging rollercoaster.
You start out on a flat plat form, then you go down a really
steep drop off a canyon. You do all these twists and turns while riding, and
that made Perry and mommy sick. Then the ride ended.
Daddy and Kaden
wanted to do one last ride before we left, so they did mystic timbers. It was
even more rickety than adventure express. At the end of it there was some really big screens where they look like it is
real and they show bats, and then a huge bat that breaks in. It was a really scary
ride.
After that we got our
stuff, and headed for home. It was a really fun day we had, but all the kids
were exausted. We decided to come back… in a couple years.
