While we drove back home across the country, they hopped a plane and flew over our heads. They had a long layover in Chicago and explored the city. Then they flew in to Indy and arrived at our house before we did. It was midnight when we got home, exhausted and never wanting to drive again. 😴 But when we got upstairs, the girls were asleep and we saw the cutest thing Heather had done: she brought the same welcome signs she made for us in Utah and put them on our doors! She added the word “home” and it made my heart melt. Heather is such an amazing and loving woman! We are so blessed to call her sister. ❤️
We all went to Perry’s soccer game and cheered him on. Then we went boating and Uncle Spence let Taryn & Heather drive. (It’s mind blowing how grown up the girls are now)
Then when night came, it was time to party at the Taylor Swift concert! The four of us ladies had dinner downtown. We originally planned to try a Mexican restaurant called Nada, but the seating wait was like 2 hrs! We ate at the Circle center mall food court instead. The city was crowded with Taylor Swift fans every where we looked. I admit, I liked Taylor Swift’s older music, but wasn’t sure about her new style. Well, regardless of anyone’s music taste, no one who attended that concert could deny that she is an amazing and talented performer!! Every person had a light up band that changes colors and went to the best of each song. The pyrotechnics and special effects were incredible! It made me happy when she sang some old songs just her and the guitar. But the best part, was watching Taryn & Sydney’s faces. Those girls are life long die hard fans and this was their first TS concert! They screamed their hearts out and sang every word to every song. They were shaking at the start before she came out and cried when she appeared. I am so happy I got to share that experience with them. And yeah, I’m more of a fan of TS now. Not enough to buy a T-shirt, but enough that I’ll voluntarily play her songs and enjoy it. But mostly because it reminds me of our girls. ❤️
We love you Heather, Tar-Bear & Syd!
