We had dinner at the Jessop's home in Zionsville last night. It was a gathering of friends from our old Princeton 1st ward. Lisa Welch (Nguyen now) was there and the LeSeurs of course. Jim, Patty, & Jadé LeSeur moved into our ward this Summer.
I have such great memories and tender feelings towards these people. They did so much for me & our little family in New Jersey. Lisa's mom Anita threw a baby shower for Kaden. Her dad was our Bishop and was so good for us. Charlotte Jessop's example helped me feel better about what kind of new mom I was being to 2yr old Kaden. She taught me that no mom is perfect. She showed me what kind of a mom I wanted to be. I have thought about these things and our time in Jersey just about every day. I am forever grateful for our experience there and especially for all the incredible people who touched our lives. God knew we needed them.
(Not in the photo: Perry & Charlie were in the basement with Josh Jessop, Jadé took the picture, and Lisa's husband was home sick)
