The Goodness of Sir Charles

I came out of the kitchen and saw Charlie cleaning the family room. Didn't ask him to, but he said "I'm just cweaning up the toys mommy."
While eating his breakfast he said, "Sank you for this food mommy. That was very kind of you to give it to me."
There was an old 80's toy called "My Buddy", a boy doll in overalls & a red hat. Charlie reminds me of that doll sometimes so i sing him the commercial song. Last night he was sitting on my lap at Perry's soccer practice.  I sang it saying, "My buddy, my buddy! Wherever I go, you're gonna go... my buddy & me!" He sang back, "My mommy, my mommy! My mommy is my best friend!" We smiled and hugged! Then he ran off and played baseball with Kaden.
At bedtime the big kids were wondering why their clothes were in the wrong  drawers. I explained that Charlie likes to help with chores and he put away their clothes for them today. They asked why he did it? I stated "Because he loves you." Their faces softened. Then they looked at him and said thank you to him. I told them "He doesn't need a reason to help or serve. He doesn't need a reason to obey the family rules. He just does it because he is full of love for all of us. Let's follow Charlie's example and act out of love more, ok?" They nodded.
I often get tears of joy over the huge blessing this little boy is to us.
P.s. he also told me he wants to be a dinosaur when he grows up. Well, sorry for the let down, buddy. But you're gonna be a great man when you grow up instead!
