A couple months back Charlie had trouble some potty training things. I asked the dr for her advice during his 3yr well check. She talked to him about it and he agreed to do it. I told gramma Lee about when the doctor told us. So she turned to Charlie and asked, "What did the doctor say?" His instant reply: "No more monkeys jumping on the bed!" Ha ha ha
At church 2 Sundays ago, Chuck was on a roll. He colored with crayons on daddy's shoe during Sacrament. Helped himself to all the fruit snacks in the church bag. Asked 4 times to use the bathroom. So I took him 4 times...cuz you never know with a toddler what's gonna happen if you don't. And when it was time for nursery he was excited to go, then whined when we got there and didn't want me to leave. But after church he was really good!
Fast forward to yesterday. He was an angel in Sacrament! He just kept kissing & hugging me, then went down the row and hugged & kissed his siblings and daddy, whispering he loved them. He sat still almost the entire hour (minus a potty break and some giggling with Perry). It was so sweet and wonderful! But then we got home... and he was cheeky again. He climbed into the pantry and helped himself to chips, and whined for more snack before dinner. While daddy & I were busy making dinner, I turned and saw him chugging honey straight from the bottle!
He refused to eat the amazing fried chicken daddy made to go on our a Asian salad...but once he took a bite, he loved it. Ugh! The funny thing is, all this should be frustrating but instead we have to stifle our laughs! He's such a good boy 90% of the time, so these other things are too funny to stress over. He's not trying to be naughty. He's just being a 3 yr old.
I mean he enjoys helping with dishes, he cleans up messes that aren't his, he loves to do chores, and he loves to give love!
We couldn't have asked for a better son to be the family caboose! We love our Charlie boy!
