We needed a date but didn't have a particular destination in mind. We just got a babysitter and set off. We grabbed a bite to eat, then remembered hearing about the free summer concerts in the park and right then on the radio it said John Waite was playing tonight in Fishers!! Just my luck... I LOVE John Waite! So we went.
We sat on the grass and listened to the local band for a while before the main act. But when John Waite performed, I got the chills and had a load of childhood memories flood back to me. We couldn't stay too late because we had to relieve the babysitter. But as we left he sang, "When I See you Smile" and I started to cry. It reminds me of my brothers who made life bearable & my best friend Sara Fraker who was there no matter what. Music has a way of touching my heart deeply. It recalls memories, good & bad. It reminds me of people. It makes me want to get up & dance. I truly love music! I'm happy I got to have a date night with my sweetheart and spend a little time with John Waite too. :)
